Details on the SPDR Lehman Emerging Markets Local Sovereign Debt ETF

The proposed SPDR Lehman Emerging Markets Local Sovereign Debt ETF will follow the Lehman Brothers Emerging Market Local Capped Index, which tracks fixed-rate local currency sovereign debt. Although there are two other exchanged traded funds currently available for investment that cover emerging markets sovereign debt, the SPDR ETF will be the first to do so in the countries local currency.

A total of 18 emerging market countries will be available for investment and include : Brazil, China, Columbia, Czech Republic, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Turkey.
